Improve Your Communications Skills

My book reviewed ways to enhance your communications in the white collar world, as well as to know when to 'bite your lip'. Contrary to the needed communications style in the blue-collar world, the white-collar world requires a much more proactive approach to communications, whether it is with management, peers, or direct reports. For example, in the white-collar world, it should be a priority to build a relationship with your manager and to communicate regularly in order to ensure alignment on priorities and expectations. "Active listening" is also an important skill to develop and refine!
